ViMa Ro & Co envisions a community where all individuals, regardless of background or circumstance, have equitable access to the resources, education, and support needed to achieve economic self-sufficiency and creative success.
The mission of ViMa Ro & Co is to promote community development and economic empowerment by providing accessible coworking, manufacturing, and retail spaces that foster entrepreneurship, artistic expression, and small business growth. The organization supports individuals through business incubation, skill development, mentorship, learning and collaborative opportunities designed to strengthen local economies and encourage inclusive innovation.

Carmen is the Founder and Consultant for both ViMa Ro & Company and VMR Manufacturing. She has more than 30 years of workforce development and community engagement experience.
Carmen holds an Associate’s degree in arts and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology both from University of Bridgeport She is facilitator for the Parent Leadership Training Institute for nearly 20 years , A teaching artist with Arte, Arts for Learning for 3 years and Caribe. She is a graduate of the CT School of Broadcasting, · Soundview Community Media – Producer & Host – 150 Episodes among her many other works.
Starting the ViMa Ro Legacy is her late 50's is for the benefit families, grandchildren, and community.

He is subcontracted and manages VMR Manufacturing, Retail and Logistics for the company. He handles donations and sales. He trains

We gratefully accept donations. Depending on location and item we can pick up donations, often at no cost.
In 2025 we expanded to offer our members the opportunity to work for and with us. Members have access to our maker spaces equipped with sewing, circuit, laser engraving, photography, heat pressing, and offer access to a variety of wood working tools and machines. We are a satellite location for Sound View Community Media TV..

We are deeply committed to being being a pathway in creating an inclusive ecosystem where creativity, entrepreneurship, and community connection empower individuals to build sustainable futures and lasting legacies.
The community retail boutique showcases items for sale that include the work of emerging entrepreneurs and artists. Participants can rent low-cost shelf or booth space, participate in pop-up markets, and benefit from shared marketing and promotional efforts.
We sell new and pre-owned home and business furniture, household goods, decor, furnishings and more.
Holidays are coming inquire about vending.

In all areas of our 5000 sf facility we display original signed and unsigned works from local artist and beyond. Prices are set by the creator and are not negotiable. Pieces start at $50.00 and can range up to $500.

We have mirrors that range is size, weight, color and cost.
We have framed and unframed pieces, plus countless pictures frames in varying sizes.

Donations of new or used furniture, arts supplies, toys, office equipment and supplies, coffee, paper goods, and more are always welcome.
We love our members and community. Visit us during normal business hours. Please note: Hours may vary beyond our normal hours due member needs, activities or events.
We rely on volunteer so if the door is closed ring the door bell at 576 John Street or call us to let you in.
We are here to help you work, create, or vend all in one location.
General hours of operation are:
